About The Three Kings
After the birth of Jesus, three wise men came from the east on January 6, also called the three kings. They had found the birthplace by following a star in the sky. Their names were Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar. Caspar represented the continent of Africa, Melchior Europe, and Balthazar Asia. More parts of the world were not known at that time. The three kings brought gifts in honor of the happy birth of the son of God: myrrh, gold, and incense. Today we celebrate Epiphany on the Sunday between January 2 and 8.
