About The three kings
After the birth of Jesus, on January 6, three wise men came from the east, also called the three kings. They had found the birthplace by following a star in the firmament. Their names were Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar. Caspar represented the continent of Africa, Melchior Europe and Balthazar Asia. More parts of the world were unknown at that time. The three kings took gifts in honor of the joyful birth of the son of God: myrrh, gold and incense. Today we celebrate Epiphany on Sunday between 2 and 8 January.
